CHITWAN, May 7: An unidentified group has attacked a vehicle parked within the residence of Nepali Congress' mayoral candidate for Khairahani Municipality with a petrol bomb.
District Police Office, Chitwan's Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Deepak Shrestha said the group hauled the bomb at the Scorpio SUV (Ba 8 Cha 1562) parked at the residence of Rajendra Prasad Chaudhary in the night.
The bomb failed to detonate sparing a bigger loss of property. The vehicle's front window pane cracked in the attack.
On Saturday, a vehicle parked near a house at Syauli Bazaar of Bharatpur Metropolitan City – 10 was vandalized. CPN (Maoist Centre) mayoral candidate, Renu Dahal, was staying at the house during the time of the attack. The authorities have so far detained 14 individuals for anti-election activities. RSS
