KATHMANDU, May 11: A meeting was held between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and president of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba. Deuba along with Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka reached the Prime Minister's residence at Baluwatar to meet him.
The meeting between Dahal and Deuba before the meeting of Nepali Congress officials is seen as meaningful.

However, Prime Minister's press expert Manahari Timalsina said that the meeting was focused on the government's policies and programs and budget. He said that there was no discussion on the fake Bhutanese refugee scam.
The arrest of NC leader and former Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand in connection with the scam has sent ripples in the country’s political circle. An NC office-bearers’ meeting is also being held today to discuss the matter. A meeting of NC officials was also held yesterday. In yesterday's meeting, there was a demand to suspend leader Khand. However, today's meeting can reach a decision making point.
