KATHMANDU, April 10: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has pledged to amend 12 laws through an ordinance aimed at boosting investment during. The PM made the pledge while addressing the 58th Annual General Meeting of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).
The PM also said that an investment summit is going to be organized in Baisakh (mid-April to mid-May) to enhance the investment environment. He announced plans to amend 12 laws simultaneously to encourage both domestic and foreign investors to participate in the summit.

Dahal expressed his commitment to reforming the legal framework, either through parliamentary channels or by ordinance, to facilitate investment. He believes this strategy will bolster the confidence of industrialists and attract foreign capital.
Similarly, he said that the government and the private sector should invest together to achieve sustainable development goals by 2030. Similarly, Prime Minister Dahal said that there is a need for collaboration between the government and the private sector to upgrade Nepal to the status of a developing country by 2026.
“The government is committed to boosting private sector morale through increased capital expenditure," Prime Minister Dahal said. "The government is ready to expand investment by coordinating with the private sector," he added.
Moreover, Dahal expressed confidence that the FNCCI would contribute significantly to meeting the government's expectations.
