PM Dahal reaches his hometown in Chitwan to inaugurate drinking water projects

CHITWAN, Oct 14: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has arrived in Chitwan today.


According to Bharatpur Metropolitan City (BMC) Mayor Renu Dahal, who is also the daughter of PM Dahal, shared that the PM is scheduled to inaugurate three drinking water projects in his home town in Chitwan on Sunday.

The drinking water projects to be inaugurated by the PM include those in Sharadanagar, Jakhadimai and Divyanagar.


The Sharada Drinking Water Project is constructed at the cost Rs 550 million. It is expected to cater service to 4,000 households.


Similarly, Jakhadi Mai Drinking Water Project, built at the cost of Rs 250 million at ward 11 of BMC, will benefit 3,500 households, said Sundar Subedi, Chief of Federal Water Supply and Sewerage Management in Chitwan.


Likewise, as many as 1,700 households are expected to avail drinking water service from the Divyanagar Drinking Water project at BMC-26.
