PM directs acceleration of Naryangadh-Mugling road project

KATHMANDU, August 2: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has directed the authorities concerned to expedite works relating to the Narayangadh-Muglin road widening project so as to complete it as soon as possible.
During his field inspection of the project today, the Prime Minister instructed the project employees and contractors to complete the works on the 36-kilometre of the project, calling it the 'lifeline' route, soon. Delay in completing the project has caused much inconvenience to the people, he added.
The Prime Minister who arrived at Aanptari of Bharatpur by helicopter at 10:00 am, carried out field monitoring of 20-kilometre section of the route from Aanptari to Dasdhunga.
He held discussions with project contractors and was apprised of progress so far in the project implementation.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Bir Bahadur Balayar who accompanied the Prime Minister on the occasion questioned over a sluggish progress in the implementation of the project. RSS
