KATHMANDU, August 11: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has instructed the chiefs of the concerned bodies to take the initiative in addresssing the demands set forth by Dr Govinda KC who has been on hunger strike for the last nineteen days through fast-track approach.

Prime Minister Deuba held a special meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Gopal Man Shrestha and Health Minister Girirajmani Pokharel to discuss Dr KC’s demand for the overhaul of medical education system. At the meeting, he directed them to make Dr KC end his fast-onto-death by addressing his demand through fast-track method.
