LALITPUR, Aug 2: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Chairman of Nepal Communist Party has asked the opposition parties to compete in policy and programme instead of engaging in blame games.
At a program organized by Tulsilal Memorial Foundation on Thursday, the PM stated that the oppositions were just blaming the government by quitting their duty.
Arguing that the opposition lawmakers have hindered the constitutional functions of the parliamentary hearing committee, PM Oli recalled that the Constitutional Council (CC) recommended person can defend against the complaints and applications lodged against him.
"Steps are ongoing to speak and ask others to speak, and write and ask others to write preventing the committee from working," PM Oli claimed.

Saying that the people's representatives have not got chance to hold open discussions in the Parliament, PM Oli said, "Decision should be made by holding discussions in the Parliament as per the constitutional provision."
PM Oli pointed out that accepting other's decision instead of the Parliament was a wrong move and added that all should get a chance to work by holding open discussions in the Parliament.
Stating that unruly activities have increased by crossing the limits of democracy in Nepal, Oli warned that anarchy would prevail if democracy goes uncontrolled.
The PM also said that attacks on government were being made for no reason.
On the occasion, the PM recalled the contribution of Tulsilal in communist movement and added, "There devotion, dedication, sacrifices and struggles have enlivened the movement."
Also speaking at the program, Chairman of Nepal Communist Party and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal said the reactionary forces have intensified their attacks and circles.
Terming the unity of communist forces an unusual incident, he said that the effort is a step of global importance and all are closely watching.
The working class people and the communists from across the globe were closely observing Nepal at present, Dahal stated.
On the occasion, Dahal said that the unity of the then UML and Maoist Centre would be spread to the grassroots level in the near future adding that the lower committees of the party have been written for the same.
Likewise, Spokesperson of Nepal Communist Party Narayankaji Shrestha said that the party should move ahead by mending the weaknesses. "Developing a new type of socialism is the need of the time. We should move ahead by learning lessons from the senior communist leaders," he said. RSS
