PM’s directive to immediately install modern flood lights and score board at Kirtipur cricket ground

KATHMANDU, March 17: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed the National Sports Council to immediately install modern flood lights and score boards at the Kirtipur cricket ground.

KATHMANDU, March 17: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has directed the National Sports Council to immediately install modern flood lights and score boards at the Kirtipur cricket ground. 


While congratulating the winning team at his official residence in Baluwatar on Friday, the PM said that the government is making efforts to speed up the construction of a cricket stadium with facilities.


The government has announced that all the players who have been selected for the World Cup cricket qualifiers will be awarded Rs 300,000 each.

He said, “All of you deserve thanks in this game you played. I announce that the government will give three hundred thousand rupees each to all the winning players. Going to Kirtipur yesterday, I instructed the National Sports Council to proceed immediately to replace the flood lights and scoreboard. The government will arrange the necessary resources for that.”


“Efforts are being made by the government to speed up the construction of a cricket stadium with facilities. In different parts of the country and especially in Chitwan we are proceeding by looking at the problems seen there.”


PM Dahal said that after solving the problem of the international level cricket stadium to be built in Chitwan, the government is proceeding with the work at a fast pace.
