PM should inform parliament about his US visit: Chairman Nepal

KATHMANDU, June 13: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba should inform parliament and the general public about his scheduled visit to the United States of America (USA).

KATHMANDU, June 13: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba should inform parliament and the general public about his scheduled visit to the United States of America (USA). 


Speaking at the parliament meeting on Monday, Chairman Nepal said that PM Deuba should respond to the queries raised by parliament regarding his visit to the US.

He said the government should not take any other action during the visit unless it is appropriate for the country, adding that any kind of pressure and threat on foreign policy would not be acceptable. Chairman Nepal said that the Foreign Minister of the government should be present at the discussion on international relations to inform about the international policy of the current government. He also said that he had heard about the presence of foreign troops in Nepal for the first time.


Chairman Nepal said that the presence of foreign troops in Nepal was a serious issue and demanded the government's attention to the issue. Chairman Nepal said that there were many flaws in the provisions of foreign loans taken by the government and stressed the need for amending them.
