Poet Tirtha Shrestha, one of the acclaimed literary laureates, released the poetry collection book ‘Dharsaidharsa Ko Chakrabeu’ at Paleti on Friday. Paleti is Nepalaya’s micro musical series.
Aside from the release of Shrestha’s new book, this month’s Paleti had the poet’s poem writing and music. The musical series featured six poems of the poet himself in the Paleti stage.
Viplop Prateek launches ‘Abijit’
The gig began with ‘Merai Himal Jasto Herirahu Pokhara’ song, which was composed by Som Bajracharya. The song reflected the poet Shrestha’s birthplace. The composer was one of the poet’s closest friends before his demise in 2016.
The writer Roshan Sherchan recollected his thoughts about the poet during the event. “Tirtha dai reveals deep meanings in simple language through his poems. I can still recall the happy moment when I read ‘Hiuma Lekheko Naam’ for the first time. His new book contains the same type of poems that give deep meanings. I want to congratulate him for this book.”
After the release, poet Shrestha shared a few words about the book. He said, “It’s a happy moment because I got an opportunity to gift this book to Rastrakati Madhav Prasad Ghimire. I will never forget it.”
Published bt Nepalaya Publication, ‘Dharsaidharsa Ko Chakrabeu’ contains 108 poems of Tirtha Shrestha.
