Police arrest Biratnagar doctor on charge of fake certificates

BIRATNAGAR, June 17: Dr Javed, a renowned physician in Biratnagar has been arrested on the charge of using fake academic certificates. A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested Dr Javed from the Biratnagar-based Life Guard Hospital on Friday.

BIRATNAGAR, June 17: Dr Javed, a renowned physician in Biratnagar has been arrested on the charge of using fake academic certificates. A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested Dr Javed from the Biratnagar-based Life Guard Hospital on Friday.



Plain-cloth CIB personnel arrested Dr Javed from his clinic in the hospital when he was checking patients. Managing Director of the hospital, Dr Kailash Kumar Shrestha told Republica Online that "two strangers took Dr Javed away."

"Dr Javed was attending to his patients. Two persons entered his cabin as patients. They took him along with them," said Dr Shrestha.



The CIB has kept Dr Javed in the cell at the District Police Office. According to a police source, the arrested doctor will be taken to Kathmandu today itself.



Dr Javed, an Indian national, has been practicing medicine in Biratnagr for nearly the past one and a half decades.
