NAWALPARASI, Aug 23: Prem Prasad Dhakal, a district member of the outlawed Communist Party of Nepal was arrested in Nawalparasi on Thursday night.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Thapa told Republica Online that Dhakal was detained from his home located at Sunawal-13 in Nawalparasi.
Police issue Chand 70-day warrant to appear in court
District Police Office, Nawalparasi (west) has started an investigation against Dhakal, according to Thapa. Dhakal is also the chief of CPN's people's council in Nawalparasi.
Most of the district leaders of the Chand-led CPN have already been arrested Nawalparasi. District in-charge of the party, Suman Gyawali was arrested recently.
