KATHMANDU, May 9: Police on Tuesday arrested an individual for selling wildlife parts. Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division arrested Nakkal Bahadur Bal, 54, from Lalitpur with 5.7 kg of leopard bones.
Following the arrest, he was handed over to the Lalitpur District Forest Office for further action, according to a press statement issued by the division on Tuesday.

As per the National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act 1973, he will be sentenced up to 15 years in jail and fined up to Rs 1 million if convicted of the crime.
In 2016, Bal was caught with 2 sets of leopard skin in Karyabinayak-16, Lalitpur. He was released on bail.
