KATHMANDU, Jan 17: Police have intensified their search for Durga Prasain, the proprietor of Biratnagar-based B&C College after Metropolitan Police Circle Bhaktapuar issued arrest warrant against him.

The arrest warrant was issued after Vice-chairman of the Medical Education Commission Shree Krishna Giri filed a defamation complaint against Prasain at Bhaktapur Police Circle and a defamation case at the Kathmandu District Court after Prasain accused Giri of demanding Rs 200 million in bribe for granting medical affiliation to his college. Prasain had also accused Giri of amassing illegal property and filed a complaint against him at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).
