UDAYAPUR, August 17: The district police has made public two persons accused of the murder of Krisala Chaudhary of Triyuga Municipality-6. Police have claimed that 27-year-old Uchitlal Sada and 23-year-old Bisey Sada of Surunga Municipality-1 of the neighboring Saptari district were responsible for the murder.

Making the accused public at a press conference on Monday, the police claimed that a dispute between the two families was the reason behind the murder of 16-year-old Krisala Chaudhary.

According to Subash Chandra Bohara, Superintendent of Police (SP) of the District Police Office, Uchitlal Sada perceived Krisala to be the main reason behind his wife eloping with another man, which led him to murder Krisala for revenge. However, more details of the incident are yet to be disclosed.

“They have not disclosed the full reason but have accepted their involvement in the murder to get revenge against Krisala Chaudhary,” SP Bohara said. “Krisala was a close friend of Uchitlal’s wife. This seems to have made him think that his wife left him for another man due to Krishala. The culprits have said in their initial statement,” he said.

According to police, in their statement, the two accused said that they murdered and buried the body of Krisala Chaudhary at around 10:30PM on July 28. One of them squeezed her neck while the other punched her to death, Desh Prasad Gautam, spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the district police office said at the press conference. Police have also speculated that they might have sexually abused Krishala before killing her.

Also, speculations from the victim's family and relatives that Chaudhary was sprayed with acid and was attacked viciously with a weapon have also not been proved. According to police, there are no signs or evidence of any weapon attack in the case. Police say that the allegation that Krishala had been attacked with any chemical substance could not be verified as her body had already decayed when it was recovered. “Not much can be said at the moment as the postmortem report has not been received yet. The body was taken to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for a postmortem, citing the sensitivity of the case,” SP Bohara informed Republica.
