District Police Chief Ghimire, Assistant Chief District Officer Saroj Aryal along with the team reached the base camp and urged the tourists to report any security issues they may encounter.

Situated at an altitude of 5,364 meters, Everest Base Camp is currently bustling with both domestic and international tourists. DSP Ghimire said that the patrol was conducted in response to the increasing influx of tourists to the area.

Inspector Anil Mishra from the District Police Office mentioned that officers from the temporary police station in Dingboche, Solukhumbu, were deployed in the region under DSP Ghimire's command.

“There are no police stations above Dingboche, which is located at an altitude of 4,410 meters in the Everest region. Because of this, tourists may feel insecure, so we have conducted an awareness-raising interaction about peace and security through patrols," he said.

DSP Ghimire said that with the onset of the mountain climbing season, both foreign and local tourist numbers have begun to rise in the Everest region. The patrol team's mobilization and interactions aim to ensure security and provide information on security measures in case of any discomfort.
