Police rescue abducted chairperson of Dailekh's Thatikandh rural municipality

DAILEKH, Dec 22: Police have rescued Dhir Bahadur Shahi, chairperson of Thatikandh rural municipality of Dailekh, who was abducted by the cadres of Netra Kiram Chand-led Nepal Communist Party Saturday midnight.

DAILEKH, Dec 22: Police have rescued Dhir Bahadur Shahi, chairperson of Thatikandh rural municipality of Dailekh, who was abducted by the cadres of Netra Kiram Chand-led Nepal Communist Party Saturday midnight.

Shahi was rescued from Subhakalika rural municipality-1 of Kalikot district at 6:30 pm today, according to Kalikot police. More than a dozen cadres of the outlawed NCP had kidnapped Shahi and his spouse Ila from their home. Shahi's wife was released earlier today. 


Earlier today, the outlawed Chand-led NCP had taken the responsibility for the abduction.
