RAUTAHAT, Nov 2: A police constable was killed in a motorcycle accident on the Bridge of Bagmati River at Dharampur Tol in Gadhimai Municipality-6 on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Ram Niwas Yadav, 33, of Bardaharwa Police Post in Durga Bhagwati village of Rautahat district. Police said that Yadav was killed in a collision with a vehicle that had an unidentified number plate at around 8:15PM on Monday.
One dies in motorbike accident in Bauddha
According to the Area Police Office, Garuda, the motorcycle collided head-on with the vehicle on the Bagmati River while Yadav was coming to work from home. A team led by DSP Shri Ram Bhandari of Garuda Area Police Office reached the spot and started investigation.
DSP Bhandari said that the body of police constable Yadav, who lost his life in the accident, was kept at Gaur Hospital for postmortem.
