KATHMANDU, April 19: Meteorologists have forecast continuation of strong wind, rain, lightning and hailstorms in Province 1 and Gandaki Province. The weather condition in Kathmandu Valley, however, will start seeing improvement starting Monday.
Meteorologist Varun Poudel said that the situation was similar in Kathmandu and other parts of the country due to active local winds. “It is simply a sign of pre-monsoon season. This situation will continue until the weather is active,” said Poudel, “The weather will be clear for a day or two and again wind and rain will continue.”
Light rainfall likely today in Kathmandu
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be partial to normal change in the hilly terrain of Sudur Paschim Province, Karnali Province and Province 1 on Monday. There is a possibility of thunder showers, thunderstorms and hailstorms in a few places in the Sudur Paschim and Karnali Province of the country and in a few other places in the hilly areas of the rest of the Provinces on Monday.
