KATHMANDU, April 16: RPP Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa has said that the possibility of the King returning to power ended. “'I left the king's agenda for various reasons. It may seem bitter, but the king is not likely to return,” tweeted Thapa.

Expressing best wishes on the occasion of Nepali New Year 2079 BS, Chairman Thapa said that the king will not return to power just because other parties fail. He added that a new party will emerge if another fails.

“Happy New Year to my old party and friends. I have no grievances or animosities with the RPP and its leaders. For various reasons, I abandoned the agenda of monarchy. Sadly, the possibility of the king returning to power has ended. The king will not come even if the parties fail. If one party fails, another will come. There were other ways for the return of the king,” Thapa wrote.

Thapa argued that the king himself shut the roads and that it is time to stop creating confusion for the new generation by carrying an impossible agenda. “The agendas of a Hindu nation should not be affected because of an impossible agenda. RPP is not a bigger party on the basis of 2/3 percent of the vote,” he wrote further.

“I know, in the end, you will have to come my way. I will build a strong home for you, despite the accusations and insults. You are staying at the house I built earlier. Have fun there for a while. I support the king, so my respect for the monarchy will always remain.”
