KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has said that 90 percent of the post-earthquake reconstruction work has been completed.
Speaking at an international conference on reconstruction organized by the National Reconstruction Authority to share the experience and progress of post-earthquake reconstruction with the international community, Finance Minister Sharma said that the reconstruction work has taken shape due to the support of various donor agencies and political parties.

He thanked all the allies and development partners, as well as international organizations, for their direct support to the reconstruction drive.
Finance Minister Sharma said that the remaining reconstruction works could be completed within the current fiscal year. He said that the Ministry of Urban Development has been given the responsibility of completing the project within the current fiscal year. Similarly, the National Disaster Management Authority will do the work related to disaster management and the rest of the work will be done by the government in a regular program.
Minister Sharma said that the reconstruction of historical and archeological heritages has resulted in the reconstruction of various historical monuments of the country such as monasteries, towers, Ranipokhari and Durbar High School.
