PPMO gives 7-day deadline to 26 builders/suppliers to submit written clarification to avoid blacklisting

KATHMANDU, April 1: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) has notified 26 builders/suppliers to provide written clarifications.


In a notice issued today, the PPMO has requested these entities to submit a written explanation detailing the reasons why they should not be blacklisted.


The PPMO has set a 7-day deadline from the date of receipt of the notice for submitting the written clarification.

After the builders/suppliers did not furnish a written explanation within 30 days as per a notice issued earlier, today a public notice was issued and a written explanation was demanded within seven days.


In the list of 26 construction companies that have been asked for clarification, there are also two companies from India and one from China. The rest are all Nepali companies.


Failure to provide a satisfactory explanation within this timeframe may result in blacklisting, prohibiting participation in the public procurement process during the blacklisting period.


The companies to which the PPMO has sought written explanation are Chhina Shrestha's Roshis Construction, Rautahat, Dipendra BK's Umang Traders, Rautahat, Rupesh Pandit's Paurai Baba Construction, Rautahat, Rajendra Chai's Sahani Wielders, Rupandehi, Dipesh Karmacharya's New Jagatdevi Construction Services, Nawalparasi, Ramesh Rai's Bibash International Construction and Suppliers Kathmandu, Madan. Khadka's MD Bro Construction, Ilam, Pushpanath Yadav's Shobha Builders and Suppliers Bhaktapur, Bijay Kumar Moktan's Nepal Bhumi Construction, Kathmandu and others.


Likewise, the PPMO has also sought written explanations from Santosh Prasad Bhatt's USB Construction, Dadeldhura, Lalit Bahadur Bohra's New Kalika Construction Service, Bajhang, Dil Bahadur Bhandari's Tulsi Construction and Suppliers, Doti, Satish Acharya's Suprabhat Construction Service, Banke, Krishna Prasad Oli's Western Development Construction Bajura, Ghanshyam Basnet's Bhuma Construction Service, Dang, Saabir Mia's Manayat Construction Service Surkhet, Guneshwar Sah’s G.S. & M.S. Construction, Ajit Shakya's Muskan Construction, Parsa.


Other companies that have been asked for clarification are Padma Bahadur Tamang's Masta J.B.D. Construction, Kathmandu, Pradeep Pant and Ashish Gautam's Samriddhi Yashashvi Construction, Kathmandu, Sundar Shrestha's Jaleshwar Mahadev SB Construction, Kathmandu, Krishna Poudel's Krishav Nirman Sewa, Rupandehi, Ramu Khanal's Khanal Kancha Suppliers, Rupandehi, Dipendra Bahadur Shahi's Siddhi Sai Prakash Construction, Rajib Garg's Bharat Construction, Abhishek Gupta's Gupta Power Infrastructure, India and Su Fugui's Shufa Anhe Group from Sichuan, China.
