KATHMANDU, Dec 7: Preparations to nominate the leaders of the CPN-UML by the party’s second meeting of central committee members, who were not elected as central members under the party’s 10th General Convention, is currently underway.
Preparation is being made to nominate 10 percent of leaders from the 309 central members. Stating that many names were left out while proposing for unanimous leadership selection in the closed session of the party’s 10th General Convention, Chairman KP Sharma Oli had said that the party's statute has made provisions for the nomination of 10 percent of the members.

In the first central committee meeting of CPN-UML held at Chitwan, decisions were made to nominate 10 percent of the members by December 11 and 12. Following the decision, preparations are being made to nominate the leaders in the upcoming central committee meeting of the party.
The names of leaders including Bishal Bhattarai, Surendra Manandhar, Shiva Gurung, Buddhi Kumar Rajbhandari, Kripasur Sherpa, Deepak Bhatta among others were not included in the party’s central members.
