President and Prime Minister to pay homage to Joshi's mortal remains

KATHMANDU, Oct 16: President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will be present to pay homage to the body of culture expert and literary centenarian Satya Mohan Joshi.

KATHMANDU, Oct 16: President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will be present to pay homage to the body of culture expert and literary centenarian Satya Mohan Joshi.


Joshi's body will be kept at Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) from 12 noon to 4 PM today. President Bhandari and Prime Minister Deuba will pay homage to Joshi at the LMC, said Chiribabu Maharjan, Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City.

After paying homage, his body will be taken to Kist Medical College in Gwarko, Lalitpur. Joshi, a 103-year-old cultural scholar, died today at 7:09 AM in the same hospital during treatment.


Joshi's body will be kept in the same hospital for study according to his wish, Prof Dr Suraj Bajracharya, director of the hospital said.
