KATHMANDU, Oct 26: President Bidya Devi Bhandari received Tika at the auspicious hour of 10:19 AM as per the Vedic rituals on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami on Monday.
President Bhandari received Tika and blessings from the priest at the Office of President, Khem Chandra Dhakal and mother, Mithila Pandey.

Similarly, Bhandari also offered Tika and blessings to her family members.
In normal days, the Head-of-the-State used to offer Tika and blessings to the general public as well. But this time, the President has decided not to offer Tika and blessings to the public in the view of COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier, the President had extended best wishes on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami and urged one and all to celebrate the festival maintaining social distance and following health safety protocols.
