KATHMANDU, June 10: President Ram Chandra Paudel is set to embark on a 9-day visit to Switzerland and Germany, starting Tuesday.
He will depart for Geneva, Switzerland, to participate in the opening forum of the Global Coalition for Social Justice, which will take place during the 112th high-level session of the International Labor Conference. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President Paudel will address the inaugural forum of the Global Alliance for Social Justice on June 13. Additionally, he will hold bilateral talks with Swiss Confederation President Viola Amherd on June 12.
President Paudel leaves Berlin for home
Following his visit to Switzerland, President Paudel will travel from Geneva to Berlin, Germany, on June 15. This official visit to Germany is at the invitation of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that President Poudel will engage in formal talks with President Steinmeier on June 17.
President Paudel will be accompanied by his wife, Sabita Paudel. The delegation will also include the President's foreign affairs expert, Dr Suresh Chandra Chalise, secretaries of the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nepali ambassadors to Switzerland and Germany, and senior officials from the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
President Paudel is scheduled to return home on June 19 after concluding his visit.
