President performs pooja to mark Kojagrat Purnima

BHAKTAPUR, Oct 24: President Bidya Devi Bhandari performed pooja at the Nawadurga Temple in Bhaktapur today marking the Kojagrat Purnima, the last day of Dashain festival.

BHAKTAPUR, Oct 24: President Bidya Devi Bhandari performed pooja at the Nawadurga Temple in Bhaktapur today marking the Kojagrat Purnima, the last day of Dashain festival. 



President Bhandari reached the temple premises at 4:00 pm, conducted Nawadurga pooja and received tika, jamara and prasad from main priest Julal Karmacharya and priest Indra Bahadur Banmala, said the President's office. 



In return, the President offered dakshina to the priests and Devgans. 



Upon arrival at the temple premises, President Bhandari was welcomed by parliament member Mahesh Basnet, provincial assembly members Shashi Jung Thapa and Dr Rajendra Man Shrestha, President of the District Coordination Committee Nawaraj Gelal, Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhatta, mayors of municipalities in the district and chiefs of security forces among others.
