BUTWAL, Dec 8: President Bidya Devi Bhandari is arriving Lumbini today to attend a special function being held to mark the 14th establishment day of Lumbini Buddhist University.
Apart from the celebrations marking the 14th anniversary seven new buildings of the University are also being inaugurated today, according to Acting Vice-chancellor Tilak Acharya. Four buildings have been constructed within the premises of the Lumbini Development Trust while three have been erected at Khadaiya near Lumbini.

On the occasion, renowned Buddhist scholars of Nepal, the former Vice-chancellor of the University and former registrars will be honoured.
Also attending the function are Chief of Province no. 5 Uma Kant Jha, federal minister for education Girirajmani Pokharel and Minister for Culture Rabindra Adhikari among others.
