Quake victims tell president they are yet to get relief

SURKHET, Nov 7: Earthquake survivors in Jajarkot have appealed to President Ram Chandra Paudel for medical treatment, food, and shelter for the injured.

SURKHET, Nov 7: Earthquake survivors in Jajarkot have appealed to President Ram Chandra Paudel for medical treatment, food, and shelter for the injured.


The victims complained that they have not yet received relief and requested the president, during his visit to the quake-affected Jajarkot district on Tuesday,  to provide immediate relief and help in the reconstruction of the destroyed houses.  


President Paudel assured the victims that he would communicate their needs with the government.

President Paudel emphasized the importance of developing both short-term and long-term relief plans to alleviate the suffering of earthquake victims. He visited Jajarkot District Hospital, where he not only inquired about the patients' health but also listened to their grievances.


He stated, “There is a government, you don't need to worry. I will engage with the government to provide immediate relief efforts and build the damaged houses of the victims as soon as possible."


President Paudel promised assistance in response to the victims’ concerns.
