Prez, PM sent condolence messages on demise of Swaraj

KATHMANDU, Aug 8: President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli have sent separate messages of condolences to their Indian counterparts Ram Nath Kovind and Narendra Modi respectively on the demise of India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

KATHMANDU, Aug 8: President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli have sent separate messages of condolences to their Indian counterparts Ram Nath Kovind and Narendra Modi respectively on the demise of India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.


In their messages, President Bhandari and Prime Minister Oli expressed heartfelt condolences to their Indian counterparts and through them to the people of India, Bharatiya Janata Party, and the bereaved family members, according to a press release issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.

Swaraj died of cardiac arrest in New Delhi on Tuesday night. She was 67.
