TANAHU, July 24: Damauli-Dumre road section along the Prithvi Highway has been disrupted again. Traffic along the highway remained obstructed again following the vehicles got stuck on the alternative route.
The route was constructed to ease the vehicular movement after the highway road went down from its level. Earlier too, the highway traffic was obstructed due to recurring landslides triggered by incessant monsoon rainfall. It took long time to resume traffic operation along the highway following the disruption of road by landslides on 19 and 20 July.
Traffic on Prithvi Highway resumes after seven hours
The landslides had swept away the sections of highway throwing the vehicular movement into a mess. The vehicles got stuck on the muddy alternative route that resulted in the disruption of road traffic, shared Bandipur-1 ward chair Bhanubhakta Pokharel. It may presumably take six hours to clear the road and resume the traffic, he said.
