Probe committee asks for CCTV footage of the south and east entrances of Singha Durbar

KATHMANDU, July 25: The Parliamentary Probe Committee formed to investigate former Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma over his role to use ‘unauthorized persons’ to manipulate taxes in the annual government budget has sought the CCTV footage of the south and east entrances of Singh Durbar.

KATHMANDU, July 25: The Parliamentary Probe Committee formed to investigate former Finance Minister Janardhan Sharma over his role to use ‘unauthorized persons’ to manipulate taxes in the annual government budget has sought the CCTV footage of the south and east entrances of Singh Durbar. 


The footage was requested at the committee meeting held on Sunday after the Finance Ministry's footage was not found.

Surendra Aryal, Secretary of the Probe Committee, said that it will take additional time to get the investigation report of the Central Police Forensic Science Laboratory.


Sharma resigned following the controversy over his role to use ‘unauthorized persons’ to manipulate tax rates in the annual budget.
