Propaganda against the Speaker is motivated by political bias: Parliament Secretariat

KATHMANDU, March 2: The Secretariat of the Federal Parliament has said that its attention has been drawn to a rumor regarding Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota’s statement which he did not make.

KATHMANDU, March 2: The Secretariat of the Federal Parliament has said that its attention has been drawn to a rumor regarding Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota’s statement which he did not make.


A press release issued today by the Speaker's Press Advisor, Shreedhar Neupane, stated that the propaganda related to the Speaker who is in favor of democracy and constitutional supremacy was motivated by political bias.

The statement has objected to the attempt to make a false statement by making a fictional story on the subject he did not speak under the letterhead of the responsible political party of the country.


It has been objected that a fictitious and misleading issue has been raised against the Speaker who has been carrying out his constitutional obligations and responsibilities within the limits prescribed by the Constitution of Nepal, the Rules of Procedure of the House of Representatives and the law.
