KATHMANDU, July 12: The proposed Manmohan Adhikari Memorial Medical College has stated that it has been granted permission to operate the college but was denied approval for conducting teaching and learning activities despite having in place all the required infrastructure and facilities for the same.
Medical Director of the proposed college, Dr Ram Kumar Adhikari told RSS that denying approval to the college was unfair and they would also stage a hunger strike to get justice.

"We are not launching the hunger strike against anybody, it is for establishing the rule of law," he said.
It is stated that more than two billion rupees have been invested in establishing the college and the number of share-holders of the college has crossed 2,400.
Adhikari said the Supreme Court has issued verdict against staging sit-in or a hunger strike inside the hospital premises but rued that that decision was not being followed. He added that such anarchic tendency will push the country towards bankruptcy, stressing the need for all to be creative and positive for building a prosperous new Nepal rather than blame each other.
Director Adhikari said preparations have been made for launching a fast-unto-death on behalf the college in coming Saun putting forth various demands including upholding the rule of law.
A physician and an economist shall take part in the hunger strike. RSS
