Protesting against corruption is not enough, the corrupt should be submerged in Bagmati River: Mayor Shah

KATHMANDU, May 14: Balendra Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), has asked the public to submerge the corrupt people in the Bagmati River.

KATHMANDU, May 14: Balendra Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), has asked the public to submerge the corrupt people in the Bagmati River.


KMC Mayor Shah said that just protesting and demonstrating against corruption is not enough and urged the public to take direct action against the corrupt officials.

“The citizens have made you leaders by giving their votes. This is not just for conducting protests and demonstrations but to take direct action and to make a policy to take direct action against the corrupt,” said Mayor Shah, hinting at various political leaders participating in protest against corruption.
