Province 5 government to provide Rs 10 million to storm-hit families

BUTWAL, April 5: The Province 5 government has decided to provide Rs 10 million to the families of those killed in massive storm that struck several villages in Bara and Parsa districts earlier this week.

BUTWAL, April 5: The Province 5 government has decided to provide Rs 10 million to the families of those killed in massive storm that struck several villages in Bara and Parsa districts earlier this week.


A cabinet meeting of the Province 5 government held in Butwal took a decision to this effect today afternoon.


According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, help and support have been pouring in from various quarters including parties, social organizations and individuals for the storm-affected people.

Meanwhile, a Chinese writer Mr. Yee Liang has provided Rs 200, 000 to storm-affected people. Liang handed over the amount to Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa at the latter's office at Singhadurbar on Thursday.


The Chinese writer, who has been living in Nepal for the past five years, used social media WeChat to raise Rs 200,000 for the storm-hit families. Liang has been posting everyday on his WeChat to raise funds.
