CAN's board meeting on Saturday decided to give the responsibility to Pubudu. The same meeting has also formed a players classification committee for the year 2022. The members of the committee are headed by Durgaraj Pathak, General Manager Raunak Malla, Cricket Manager Binod Das and National Team Selection Committee Coordinator Uttam Karmacharya.

CAN selected Pubudu from an open application of 60 people for the post of coach. “I am very happy and grateful to have the opportunity to work with CAN once again,” said Pubudu. “My tenure will be focused on taking Nepal to new heights. In Nepali cricket, both senior and age group players are very talented.”
