Pushpa Bhusal is ruling alliance candidate for Deputy Speaker

KATHMANDU, July 12: Pushpa Bhusal of the Nepali Congress (NC) has registered her nomination for the election to the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) from the ruling coalition.

KATHMANDU, July 12: Pushpa Bhusal of the Nepali Congress (NC) has registered her nomination for the election to the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) from the ruling coalition.


Bhusal registered her nomination on Thursday with the support of CPN (Maoist Centre)'s Dev Prasad Gurung. Laxmi Kumar Chaudhary of the CPN (Unified Socialist) seconded Bhusal’s nomination.

The position of deputy speaker has been vacant since 20 January 2020, when the previous deputy speaker, Shiva Maya Tumbahangphe, resigned.
