Qatar sends urgent medical aid to Nepal

KATHMANDU, April 29: The State of Qatar on Wednesday sent urgent medical aid to Nepal to tackle the novel coronavirus.


The State of Qatar represented by Qatar Fund for Development dispatched a cargo of urgent medical aid to Nepal for the Nepali government’s efforts to control the spread of the COVID-19, according to a press release issued by the Embassy of Qatar in Kathmandu.

On the occasion, Khalifa bin Jassem Al-Kuwari, the director general of Qatar Fund for Development declared that this medical assistance offered to the friendly country of the Republic of Nepal is an expression of solidarity and collaboration among brothers and friends, and it’s also came within the framework of the global efforts to fight this pandemic.


“This aid is based on the common international responsibility and supporting the international community’s exerted efforts aiming at controlling the spread of the virus," he added.
