Quake victims to get first tranche of Rs 50,000 by Sept 18

KATHMANDU, Aug 15:  The government on Monday decided to provide the first tranche of Rs 50,000 as relief grant to the quake victims by September 18.

KATHMANDU, Aug 15:  The government on Monday decided to provide the first tranche of Rs 50,000 as relief grant to the quake victims by September 18.


Launching a one-month long special campaign today the government has decided to provide relief grant to as many as 511,000 quake victims of 11 quake-hit districts, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) Sushil Gyawali told Republica Online .

Only 49,000 quake victims have received relief grant so far .


Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal had directed the NRA to provide grant relief within 45 days. 


According to CEO Gyawali, the staffers will work even during public holidays while distributing the relief grant.
