Sharma said that she went rafting as well even though he had gone there for a tour of Rani Mahal. Paudel said that if one wanted to know Nepal well, one didn’t have to go abroad to celebrate. Every day hundreds of local and foreign tourists come to enjoy rafting in the sacred Kaligandaki which flows to the left of Rani Mahal.

Saraswoti Chidi, chairperson of Bagnaskali Rural Municipality, Palpa, said that a one-kilometer water journey has started from the premises of Rani Mahal to the bridge. Kaligandaki Rural Municipality in Syangja of Gandaki Province, Baganaskali Rural Municipality of Palpa and Tansen Municipality have prepared a joint master plan and started preparing to operate about 25 km water journey from Ruru Chetra Dham Ridi to Ramdi.

She said that for an overall development of tourism in the district, mutual coordination, dialogue and cooperation among the three municipalities of the two districts have been started to increase the attraction of tourists in water tourism. At a time when Nepalis spend thousands of rupees to enjoy water travel abroad, if the attraction of foreign tourists in rafting which has started in the country can be increased, there is a sufficient basis for earning foreign currency as well as promoting tourism in Nepal.
