KATHMANDU, May 4: At present, the country is experiencing a change in weather and rain due to the influence of western winds as well as local winds. According to the Meteorological Forecast Division (MFD) of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light rain is currently occurring in some places of Karnali Province. The Kathmandu Valley has been receiving sporadic rainfall since morning.
In the afternoon, the weather is said to be partly cloudy to normal in the hilly areas of the country, while the weather will be partly cloudy to generally clear in the rest of the country. According to the MFD, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi Province, Madhesh Province and Bagmati Province and in some places in the rest of the country.
