KATHMANDU, August 25: The weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country with chances of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning at a few places today.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning at one or two places of Sudurpaschim and Madhesh provinces and at a few places of the remaining provinces.
A partly to generally cloudy weather is predicted in the hilly region and partly cloudy to generally fair in the rest of the regions of the country tonight.
Rain accompanied by thunder, lightning and gusty winds forecast
Likewise, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning has been forecast at a few places of Province 1, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places of the remaining provinces tonight.
Weather on Friday
The weather on Friday will remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country. There are chances of light to moderate rain along with thunder and lightning at some places of Province no 1, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province, and at a few places of the rest of the provinces on Friday.
The weather update shared by the Meteorological Forecasting Division states that the minimum temperature in the Kathmandu Valley was 20.5 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was 31.0 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours.
Similarly, the lowest temperature of 16.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jumla and the highest 36.0 degrees Celsius in Dipayal throughout the country in the last 24 hours.
