RASUWA, July 21: The Rasuwa Customs Office in Timure has doubled the revenue collection in the outgoing fiscal year compared to the previous fiscal.
Revenue collection from the border point with neigbouring China increased by 126 per cent this year (2017/18) in compared to the previous year, reaching Rs 4.59 billion. The collection in the fiscal year 2016/17 was Rs. 2.42 billion, according to Chief Customs Officer Gopal Koirala.

Readymade garment, electronic goods and footwear topped the list of imports from China in the year with wheat flour, noodles and biscuits being exported from Nepal to the northern neighbour.
The Nepal-China transit point continues to run without any obstruction this monsoon. The office has mobilized more than 20 goods inspectors in order to speed up the customs examination, Koirala said. RSS
