Re-polling in Urbani of Gulmi to be held on Tuesday

GULMI, Nov 21: Voting will be held again on Tuesday at the Urbani polling station in Gulmi. The voting at this polling station was postponed during the elections held on Sunday.

GULMI, Nov 21: Voting will be held again on Tuesday at the Urbani polling station in Gulmi. The voting at this polling station was postponed during the elections held on Sunday.


Chief Election Officer Basantraj Paudel said that re-voting will be held on Tuesday in centers (a) and (b) of Bhagwati Secondary School located in Wadanamba-2 Arbeni of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality.

The election process on Sunday was postponed after the ballot papers of the FPTP electoral system under the Provincial Assembly were placed in the ballot boxes meant for the FPTP candidate of the House of Representatives (HoR). Only 664 of the total 1,369 voters cast their votes.


Elections were held peacefully across the district except this polling station. The ballot boxes from all other polling stations in the district have been brought to the district headquarters, Tamghas, according to the Office of the Chief Election Officer.


There are 223,615 voters in the district. Voting was done in 279 polling stations in the district.
