Relief support to flood survivors

LAMJUNG, Sept 16: Relief support was provided to people affected by the floods and landslides on Saturday.

LAMJUNG, Sept 16: Relief support was provided to people affected by the floods and landslides on Saturday. 


Four families affected by the floods and 12 families who lost their houses to landslides in Marsyangdi rural municipality were provided immediate relief support, according to Chief District Officer Jhankanath Dhakal.

The District Disaster Management Committee provided Rs. 100,000 to families who lost a member in the disaster while the rural municipality added Rs. 50,000. Likewise, Rs. 50,000 was provided to those who lost their house and Rs. 25,000 who suffered partial damage. 


Likewise, the district administration office and Marsyangdi rural municipality provided rice, pulse, cooking oil and salt to the affected families. Relief support was also provided by the Nepal Red Cross.
