Report of inquiry committee on Ncell share sale case under cabinet’s review

KATHMANDU, Feb 9: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has said that an inquiry committee’s report regarding the purchase and sale of shares of the telecommunications company Ncell is currently under review at the Council of Ministers.

KATHMANDU, Feb 9: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Rekha Sharma has said that an inquiry committee’s report regarding the purchase and sale of shares of the telecommunications company Ncell is currently under review at the Council of Ministers.


During a meeting of the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee of the House of Representatives, Minister Sharma disclosed that the investigation committee’s report is currently being reviewed by the cabinet. She mentioned that the report cannot be disclosed to the public at this time as the government is yet to take a decision to release the report. Some members of the parliamentary committee requested access to the report.

The committee meeting on Friday also discussed and approved sections 19 to 26 of the Security Printing Bill.
