KATHMANDU, April 26: Unveiling the party’s election manifesto for the upcoming local level poll, the ruling Rastriya Prajatanta Party (RPP) has announced to effectively curb the practice of organized religious conversion in the country.
The party made the announcement to curb the proselytization, arguing that some forces are converting religion of people in an organized, planned and forceful way by using monetary influence and by creating confusions.

Organizing a press conference in Lalitpur to unveil the document on Wednesday, the RPP Chairman and Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa promised that they will enact law to bar general strike in winning areas, allocate at least 20 percent from total budget of Rural Municipality and municipality for the education purpose, free the education up to secondary level, provide scholarship to two person to study engineering and doctorate, launch special program to improve education community school, implement at least 25-bed hospital in each municipality and rural municipality.
“People country will choose their local representatives by May 14 and June 14 local polls. I request all the people to choose their representatives who work for the sake of local development,” said DPM Thapa.
