KATMANDU, May 30: The government has allocated Rs 1.255 billion for the development of Tehrathum district in the fiscal year 2018/19, which comes around 0.095 percent of the total fiscal budget.
With two municipalities and four rural municipalities in the district, the government has allocated Rs 233.6 million for Myanglung municipality, Rs 212.7 million for Laligurans municipality.

Similarly, 27 4. 7 million has been allotted for Atharai rural municipality, the biggest rural municipality in the district. Likewise, Rs 203.2 million has been allocated for Chhathar rural municipality, Rs 203. 5 million for Fedap rural municipality while Rs 128. 1 million has been allotted for Menchhyayem rural municipality.
The district covers an area of 679 km² and has a population 113,111 as per the 2001 census.
