RSP MPs decline service benefits amid parliament suspension

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: Rabi Lamichhane, the Chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has announced that the party's parliamentarians will abstain from availing themselves of service perks and benefits while the parliamentary session remains suspended.

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: Rabi Lamichhane, the Chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has announced that the party's parliamentarians will abstain from availing themselves of service perks and benefits while the parliamentary session remains suspended.


Addressing Speaker Devraj Ghimire on Friday, Lamichhane urged him to take the necessary measures to restore regular parliamentary sessions. He further communicated to the speaker that, in light of the ongoing political conflict leading to the suspension of parliament, RSP members will not utilize any service benefits during this period.

Lamichhane expressed, "In the event that such benefits were received in the past, I humbly request for appropriate adjustments to be made."
